Christmas in Maui

Our whole family had a wonderful December in Maui with Charlene and Brian. Dave and Alli rented a room and a little beach house and we and Jon and Angie stayed at Char and Bri's in Haiku. There was a lot of kite boarding and beach time, some hiking, and much longed for grandkid time. We had a white Christmas - the white of the sand. It was a fantastic time.

New Mexico Trip

In November, we went through grand canyon, canyon lakes loup, visited Esther, Marilyn and Denny, through Sedona, the petrified forest and painted desert, then through New Mexico, back through AZ and through Tombstone, and back to the Blocks in San Diego for Thanksgiving.

Thankfully, holloween was uneventful except for one very cute little spook. Little Jaylon was three months old on Oct 23.

Took our motorhome through Yosemite, up over Tioga Pass, through Lee Vining, June Lake, down to Bishop, back up to Bridgeport and then back over Sonora Pass to get home. We stayed one night 8 miles back on a dirt road in the Green Creek wilderness, no one around. At 3am Bears tried to break into our motor home, by trying to break the window on the driver's side. Bob had to turn on the engine, flash the lights and honk the horn to scare them off. It was snowing coming back over the pass, but overall the weather was gorgeous. The fall foliage was wonderful.
